When ‘Crash’ was made in 1996 the shocking impact on the audience would have been a lot greater then. After discussing in our group we concluded that in modern day times media audiences would find this a lot less shocking due to being exposed to far more gorier, graphic, and violent material, for example ‘The Human Centipede 1 & 2’. We agreed that the concept of the film ‘Crash’ is still shocking now as its not an idea we come across in daily life, however the specific shots and scenes that would have once been considered shocking (the ‘crotch scene’ and the naked sex scene) are no longer able to cause as much of an impact.

After finishing our film we showed it to some fellow media students in order to gain their feedback.
